A congregation may apply to become a member congregation of ULMA by providing an official letter affirming that the voters' assembly and the pastor(s) of the congregation uphold the ULMA Constitution and ULMA's Constitutional Guidelines for Mission Congregations.

 

The items below may be provided within the letter or on a separate page. For your convenience we have this information in a text file which may be downloaded for use in any word processing package.

  • Present synodical affiliation
  • Synodical affiliation past 10 years
  • Names and positions of congregational officers
  • Name of congregation's contact person/representative
  • Contact information for representative (if different than above)
  • Reason(s) why congregation seeks membership into ULMA
  • Do the congregation and its Pastor(s) accept, without reservation, the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired, inerrant, written Word of God?
  • Do the congregation and its Pastor(s) accept, without reservation, the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, contained in the Book of Concord of 1580 as true and unadulterated statements and expositions of the Word of God?
  • Do the congregation and its Pastor(s) accept the Constitution of the United Lutheran Mission Association and the Constitutional Guidelines for Mission Congregations of the United Lutheran Mission Association?
